Life Flight is the rotor wing air medical transport service of Baptist Medical Center and Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville Florida. We are an Air Methods program.  Life Flight operates a BK117-A4, a twin engine helicopter with an operational range of 150 nautical miles and average cruise speeds of 135 knots.  Life Flight has been in service for over 30 years and has completed more than 25,000 accident free transport missions.  We were the first aircraft to serve the northeast Florida area and the second program established in the state.  We are also the first and only rotor wing program in the state of Florida to become CAMTS accredited.
